planetcakebook

Would you like to win the new Planet Cake Book? Cakes & More have one to giveaway, well OK, I don’t have it in my hands just yet but it is on pre-order!

So how can you go about winning one of these babies to add to your cake book collection?

To enter you simply need to post a comment here on this post telling me in 50 words or less how adding Planet Cake book to your collection would add value to your decorating. Feel free to be creative or funny, think carefully, only one entry per person.

The competition will close on April 1st.

Put those thinking caps on and have fun.

This competition is open to all cake friends Australia Wide and Internationally!

11/03/09 – So keep sending those entries in, the estimated delivery I’ve been given is April, so it’s not too late to enter, but so it doesn’t seem like a never ending competition, I’ll put a closing date of April 1st on the entries.  Remember that the winner will also receive a set of Couture Cupcake Wrappers courtesy of Cupcake Savvy, in association with our Cupcake Wrapper Competition. Thanks for your patience, keep getting creative with those entries.

Challenge 2008

Challenge 2008 CollageSo this year in Association with the Stitches and Craft Show at Rosehill the NSW Guild held it’s bi-annual cake decorating competition known as “Challenge”. Surprisingly for some there were considerably more entries than the Sydney Royal Easter Show this year. I’m sure there are many reasons for this one may be the array of categories and themes that one could enter.

While admittedly at times a somewhat harrowing process there is a lot to be learned and gained from entering a show, non more than simply the experience of doing so!

The fun part comes once the show is on and you can spend many an hour wondering round the exhibits, passing by the same ones again and again, seeing something new everytime!

The next “Challenge” will not be on till 2010 but in the meantime, the Royal Easter Show 2009 and many a smaller agricultural show (details to come in the future on some of them) are also worth having a crack at and just seeing what happens! Cakes & More wish to congratulate all it’s members who entered particularly the brave newcomers! Well done ladies.
